Excellent place. Friendly service. Always remembers my name even though am only in the neighborhood a few times a year. Goes extra mile on service. And much cheaper than the yuppie place across the street.

My new favorite item to get here is the Taro Bun, that is sometimes available in her new steamed cart. Its a rare treat!
She also has a small refrigerated section of sodas, yogurt, fruit bowls, and newly added japanese style rice balls.
Pro Tip- $5 minimum for using card, but she will let you carry over your balance. so you could charge your card for $5 even if you order is under, and use the remainder on another day. Since I work nearby, she knows me by name now and even allows me to pay on another day if I've forgotten cash, etc. The owner Jan is the sweetest! -

This place has very yummy pork buns. Sometimes on my way into work I will stop in if the like isn't long. I'll get two pork buns to-go and head to work. The older Asian woman usually working is very sweet and kind. It's near a bunch of state and federal buildings and I hope they stay in business!

Great breakfast, great service with reasonable price!!! I always come by to see Jang, the owner, serving strong coffee & bagel every morning. She always say hi and happy face with customers all the time. The shop is quite busy...ppl come in and out non stop. All the staffs like to keep the place look nice & clean especially the refilled milk counter.

Right across the street from Civic Center PhilzCoffee which was super busy and I was in no mood to stand in line for a simple cuppa so Coffeesmith was just the ticket. At Coffeesmith there were a few people sitting and enjoying a chat and a cup and a guy working away on his laptop. The older lady behind the counter was so nice when I told her I wanted room for milk and to add hot water to make my coffee weaker, she said she'd put some steamed milk on top for me-how sweet was that? On top of all that, a small coffee was only $1.95! Across the street at Philz it's like $2.75. I sat down and relaxed a bit before an appt and told myself sometimes you accidentally find good things like Coffeesmith.
